Bringing the Magic Back to Halloween
Raising food allergy awareness and offering the option of non-food trinkets and toys in a separate bowl makes Halloween safer and more inclusive for all trick-or-treaters.
How to Spread the Magic
Putting a teal pumpkin on your doorstep means you have non-food treats available, such as glow sticks or small toys. This simple act promotes inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions.
- Provide non-food treats for your trick-or-treaters on Halloween
- Place a teal pumpkin in front of your home (or one of FARE’s free printable signs) to indicate to passersby that you have non-food treats available
- Add your address to the Teal Pumpkin Project Map, so kids looking for non-food treats can plan their routes.
- Share the Teal Pumpkin Project with your community!
